StepPulse is a step counter and activity tracking application designed to help users monitor their daily physical activity. We respect your privacy and are committed to keeping your activity information private.
StepPulse may process the following information on your device:
StepPulse uses supported device sensors to detect steps and activity. Sensor information is processed for the purpose of providing step counting and fitness-related features.
When Enhanced Accuracy features are enabled and the required permission is granted, StepPulse may use location speed information as supporting context for activity validation and vehicle movement detection.
Location information is not used to generate artificial steps. StepPulse does not require location information for basic step counting in Standard mode.
Activity records, goals, streaks, preferences and other app data are stored locally on your device using the application's local storage and database systems.
StepPulse provides an optional Backup & Restore feature. When you export a backup, the selected application data is serialized into a JSON backup file on your device.
Backup files are under your control. StepPulse does not automatically upload your backup files to a remote server.
StepPulse may display local notifications for tracking status, daily progress, milestones, inactivity reminders, streak protection and daily summaries when these features are enabled.
These notifications are generated on the device and are not dependent on a remote notification server for their activity information.
StepPulse does not sell, rent or share your personal activity information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes.
StepPulse is designed to process its core activity tracking information locally on the device. The application does not require an account or login to use its core step-counting features.
Your activity information is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for protecting access to your device and any exported backup files.
You can delete your stored activity information using the data management and reset functionality provided within StepPulse. Uninstalling the application also removes its locally stored application data according to the Android operating system's behavior.
StepPulse is not specifically directed toward children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through remote servers.
